My Audi concert is stuck
Hello Dan, I have a 99 Audi Quattro has the concert radio. My wife must have tried too many times to unlock it as now it is stuck on safe mode. The vin # is WAUDA34B8XNO68228 and I believe the serial # is AUZ5Z6W0101378 and the code is 1526 I hope this helps. Thank you

I recently bought a used A4 that came to me without the unlock code documentation. The radio works for now but I figure first time the battery dies I will need the unlock code.
Ive noticed that there are now dozens of e-bay sellers that offer service to provide the radio unlock code from the radio serial number for reasonable prices around $5. Has anyone here had success using an e-bay obtained unlock code, have a seller you would suggest?

I wouldn't do anything for now.
Some of the Concerts were never coded at the factory. In other words even in a power loss it might just power up again happily without asking for a code.

From info recently posted on audizine forums, Audi of America will no longer provide the radio unlock codes for free via their customer service chat line. Look on ebay for audi radio unlock service at around $5, I have heard that the ebay code lookup service does work.
As followup to my own inquiry in post #37, per the reply by 4D4 in post #38 I did finally figure out that the radio in my 2003 A4 did not have a lock code set, came back up on its own after a dead battery.
