headunit? Does it actually work well? where can I get the parts and how much does it cost? I was at soundtrack (in CO) and they said you cant hook anything up!

i'm not sure about the symphony headunit, but on my concert, there is an extra set of line outputs behind the unit. this allows you to connect an amp and subs while still powering the speakers. if you want, you can follow the FAQ on How to Install an Amp/Sub, but that was written for the Concert unit (or the Delta), so again, I'd confirm with someone else if that's possible before you start.

also, if you DO have the extra line outputs in the deck, and you plan to use them (the FAQ way doesn't require the use of these), you'll have to get a converter from line to RCA (so you can hook it up to your amp).

one more thing...i have the non-bose unit. things might be different, but i doubt it'll be that much if at all.

I remember seeing it when I was searching the archives. Then you run the line outputs to your amplifier connected to your sub. I haven't done it yet but it is about 4th on my mod list.
