Audio Problem
I know my car is aging and with all aging things, deteriation occurs. I didn't think the audi wires would deteriorate this quickly. I am getting a slight static interferance b/w 2-3k rpm heard through my speakers when I play my CD's (changer in the trunk). FM radio is not reliable for clear reception even in new cars so that is one reason I went with XM.
My XM is set up with a feed from the receiver through my CD player input. The XM signal wire is (suposidly) shielded but I get the static even more there. It's driving me nuts!
I did put a GLI (ground loop isolator) on the XM feed but it didn't help.
Anyone have suggestions?

I have not yet purchased an Audi yet (2 months or less!), but I can tell you that ground loop interference on a stock audio system can also be caused by a fading battery (get battery checked at Advance Auto Parts, or someplace similar), or that the alternator is fading out (I believe most high end auto parts places do this for free or cheap, or get your mechanic to test it).
