Default AUDI's lack power and speed! that's a known fact!

I have a 1997 (B5) A4 2.6l Auto stock standard and i ran it against a stock standard Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0l VRX Manual and got beatn by almost a car length. Seriously, you would think that the A4 having a v6 engine that pumps out 110kW and 225Nm torque would beat the lancer which has 92kW and 170Nm of torque. However, i know that the A4 is heavier by approximately 200kg, but you would think with the additional power it has that it will beat the lancer. This was an embarrassing experience because i used to have a 92 Holden Commodore 3.8 V6, 135kW, +Exhaust, which was alot faster the lancer. And when i bought the A4, i knew it was a little slower thatn the holden considering it has a smaller V6 engine, but i didn't think it was slower than the Lancer. However, i like my A4 for its comfort, handling and safety features, the ABS with EBD does wonders in the wet. Anyone knows of aftermarket 17 inch S4 wheels that are going for sale at a good price? let me know! thanks!

you really should lower your car before getting larger rims or it will look like a SUV

Do you think that would be wise? I mean if i lower it, the ride will be much firmer. I had a bad experience with my previous car, (Holden 92 VP Commodore, also listed in my Picture post with raised suspension), i lowered it to Australian Legal Limits and it was too low. It created alot of stress on the body, and i had to change my exhaust, fuel tank, and front skoop because it would get caught on Speed humps and kerbs. So i am alittle hesitant on lowering this A4.
