it is not the bulb, anyone know where this light could be disconnected? also how to get to the possible problem.

Default Have you checked the fuse?

See owners manual for correct fuse location.

Default You might feel a little less dumb if you checked the fuse first...

THEN replied "I checked the fuse already, and it's fine".

Default Re:why you normally have a fuse burn out before a bulb?

i would think more than just that light would go to one fuse, but i dont know much about that kind of thing, thanks for the help.

Default Everything wired to that fuse would go out...

and yes, more than just that bulb runs off the fuse. The fuse is easy enough to check...if it's good, and the bulb is good, try putting a multimeter on the contact points in the bulb socket. See if it gets any power as you cycle the switch (probably doesn't). If it doesn't, remove the light fixture, and use the multimeter to check power across the wiring harness connector that runs to the light fixture. You'll probably find that you do have power. In that case, the light fixture/switch is bad, so replace that assembly.

If you don't know how to use a multimeter, bring it to a shop.
