Default awesome... body shop is unable to mix my paint color...

they've had my fvckin bumper for 3 weeks and cant seem to make up emerald green mica paint LZ6U. I even gave them a original audi can of spray paint. If they call me back again and tell me they cant do it I'm going to explode at them.

LZ6U is coming out as LZ6L which is cactus green.

Default I gave them paint to work from and the correct color code

I really dont care what they have to do to make it work, so long as the color is correct.

Default i go to j&e on raritan road in clark

they are pricey but do really good work. They would color match your paint off a headlight washer or chip.

Default Go to a shop that deals with Dupont paints.

My dads friend has a scanner and you just take a razor and peel some of the old paint off, scan it, and it spits out the chemistry of the color match.

Default Same color

My A4 is the same color (Emerald green) and it had some body repairs done recently. It took the guy 3 goes to match the paint. The paint supplier said there were a couple of versions of Emerald green for the 1996 A4 in the book (the regular - and a lighter shade I think he said). The last try he had to have the paint scanned on the car and it came out as an Isuzu color! Anyway, it was a good match. He mentioned the paint fades over time and scanning is the only way to match old paint.
