Default Before/After pics H&R+Bilstein Sports, Borbet Type S

I'm extremely happy with this new suspension! I knew the performance level would be good (I'm not looking for a race car, after all) so my main worry was that it would be too harsh. Happily, it's definitely not harsh - just a nice firm, solid road feel while still soaking up road bumps with no muss or fuss. I think the H&R and Bilstein folks got this setup dialed in nicely. I'd say it's a good notch firmer than the factory Sport suspension, and maybe even just a hair tighter than the S4

The float I used to get cresting over ramp type speed bumps is completely gone, too.

So far, I love the ride and grip of the RE730's.

Default Looks great. I've got the same setup in the boxes still. Did your Bilsteins have the adjustable

perches? If so, where did you set them?
Thanks,
Cy

I got the springs and shocks as a set and it set me back about $720. A number of places have them (www.awe-tuning.com, www.shox.com, etc...) for around this price. I don't have a separate price for just how much the springs cost - the price was for the shock/spring set.

The installation labor was about $225, but that took some hunting to find a place that would do it for that price. Most were in the $350-400 range.

The rears had adjustable perches, but I left them in their "as-shipped" setting - which was the lowest perch. The fronts did not have adjustable perches.

1997 TQM (non-sport then, probably a bit more "sporty" these days)
