Default Before I commit to the Febi kit,...did stfa, no exact info.

I got the car checked by the dealership & a local shop. Both said just the front upper arms are worn. Should I spend the extra ~180 and get the whole kit or just a kit with upper arms. Im doing springs and shocks also so I may get the whole kit anyways but just wondered what others would think.

Front upper ECS ~300
PureMS Febi kit ~490

Plus, I have a Q about o2 sensors, whats the grease audi recommends for the thread on those? Do I have to get that from dealership?

Thanks

Default do the full meal deal...

because when the other parts go bad, you will have to re-do all the work that you have already done and get another alignment.
Plus, you are going to love how your car feels with a new front end under it.

Default Ertman, talk about your TP and trans mounts real quick....

Effects of TP. Good and bad. Easy Install?

How did you know trans mounts needed to be done? Differance once they were done?

Also, how much $/time to powdercoat VC?

Im thinking of doing all 3 of these things so...

Thanks man.

Default ok, good thing my insomnia is kicking my ***....

tranny mounts - lots of slop, hearing clunks when I came off the accelerator. New mounts made a big difference. Went with Allroad on passenger side.

Test pipe - knuckle busting pain in the *** to install. car revs quicker, sounds better at speed, exhaust smells like **** to those following you

Powdercoat VC - cost = zero, friend of mine did it as a favor. Took a weekend to get it back. Make sure that you get the gasket set before you pull the VC. While you are in there consider doing a CCT R&R.

Default yup, like Ertman said... if you're in there, might as well do all of them...

esp if you're doing suspension.

As for the stuff on the threads of the O2 sensor, it's just antiseize. Coat the threads liberally with it, but make sure not to get any on the tip of the sensor or it'll foul it a bit.

Default on my 12v... if you are looking at the motor from the front of the car...

they're 4 continuous plugs on the passenger's side firewall...

not sure on a 1.8T though, sorry. Might try a quick search and see if anything pops up, other than that can't be much help, sorry.

OR, the old school way... just follow the wire till you find the right one haha
