Just wondering how many people don't run their belly pans.

Why? Some don't, but it's preferable to have one. Cuts on wind noise and protects the engine compartment from debris and mud.

Wouldn't be surprised if it helps with the cooling system (most cars do) and fuel economy (improved aerodynamics). It also makes oil changes a bit fat PITA, which is nice if you like a good challenge.
