This is truely a POS jack for a $30000+ car. Sure it's compact but this is one of the most unstable design out there. I had my rear jacked up and then the base of the jack slipped and the car came down sideways and bent the threaded rod on the jack. I called a local VW dealer thinking they might ask for less than an Audi dealer but they wanted $95!!! I can get a real nice 3 ton hydrolic jack from Sears for that price!
Anyone know any online salvage yards that specialize in VW/Audi?
TIA

Just be glad you weren't under the car when it fell! I'm sure you can go to a junkyard and see if any A4's there still have their jacks. You can look for front-end collision accidents where the rear is unharmed.
