Default Bent Wheels and Upper TRE question

Hey Guys,

Got the report back from the dealer that my wheel bearings aren't the cause of my sound, it's that some of my wheels are bent. (Thank you sh**ty Oklahoma roads)

Newayz, I am most likely MOVING in about a year, and I was wondering if I would damage quattro in any way if I decided to wait around that time to actually get everything fixed?

Question 2 - Dealer said also my upper TREs were on their way out (I knew this) and was going to see if it was okay to still drive on them for a while. I rather do the work myself and get some beefier S4 ones rather than use the A4 ones. Is it okay to drive around 3-4 months on TRE's that are going out?

Sorry for the newbish questions, thanks in advance.

Default

your bent rims might cause your TRE's to break sooner with all the vibration.

Default Well I don't want to fix rims

have them get bent within a year, and then hoard out more cash to fix them again. I rather do it once

Default How did you bend 15" rimzzz

"Newayz" is a new one for me and I will refraine from saying anything else about it because it would be considered a personal attack and that is not allowed

Default You bent those??? How bad are the roads there??

I wouldn't want to drive around on bent wheels for too much longer. TRE's will be fine for another 3-4 mos.

Default Bent wheels, bad TRE's = no tires soon as well.

Also can increase the rate of wear on the bearings and all the other CA's etc.

Default Dude...the A4 TREs have been "beefed-up" since their original release...

Whether it's Febi/Bilstein or Meyle or whomever, they are all stronger now. I don't know that getting S4 TREs means anything anymore.

I'm just sayin'
