Best oil for long drive at high sustained speed?
Im going to be taking a 12 hour trip across some barren terrain. I will be high sustained speeds for long periods of time.... 30V V6 quattro.
What weight and type of oil would give me the best protection in this situation? Someone told me once which weight was the best for this but I cannot remember.... It was a pretty specific weight and type that was by far the best for long periods at high engine speeds....

Yeah, dino is really good...
at depositing sludge, especially if you run it at the recommended 10K mile intervals.
Stick with an Xw-40 synthetic and you'll be fine. M1 5w-40 for example.
