Hey guy,

I need your advice on where is it the best place to buy a high-flow cat?

Company's and the price and the site would be very helpful.

Any recomendations... I have a G2 so I belive its a 2.5 diameter so i need something that will fit that.

Default Just get a test pipe... waaaaay cheaper

Talk to Brett .. AIM name - sourcemine. (I forget his Audiworld name)

I should be getting mine in on monday, but a few others on the forum run his testpipe and are quite satisfied with both performance and quality of the product.

Default Contact OneEighth here on AW...

makes a custom made, metallic core, 300 count HFC with a 3.0" inlet, 2.5" outlet, both O2 bungholes. Good stuff.

Random also sells HFCs, as well as Renntek and PES if you want race cats (~$700).

The thing about the Randoms are they are OEM flange sized (2.5" inlet, 2.25" outlet) and are a restriction. You can have them put on any sized flanges for more money...but id just get OneEighths if he still sells them.

Cheers,
Sameer

Default I'm assuming you have a neuspeed G2, as the Greddy's is also named G2.

I dont really want to tell you the best option is to hack up your exhaust.

But I made some prototype HFC's and SameerP had one and Juan M. tested one out.

I don't have the capitol to have a bunch made.

The option I've chosen to do which I can make, is a kit to relocate the cat to the bottom of the car.

For K03, it will consist of a 2.5" test pipe, a downpipe if needed and a HFC with instructions on how to extend the 02 wires to the underside.
It's six wires and takes a little bit of time, and I'll know if it's worth it soon.

I've order a vag-com for myself and for testing the 02 sensor for changes and so forth, so we'll see what happens.

Default info

I have 2.5 and 3" test pipes..

they are 150 + 15 if need be shipped..

paypal payment is acceptable..

the unit has two 02 bung's for pluggin in cables..

as for fooling it, it will do no harm to the car with a CEL..

I've told some people about some electronics you can use to fix the problem, and I might try one outmyself, once I get my VAG, I'll see how each of them work, and how close the readings are on various units.

Where do you think the profits go.. back into testing and more products..

slow but steady...

I'll have the vag on monday/tuesday and maybe wednesday begin the project..
