...Long term it is probably good news for the Audi brand. Trouble is, significant changes (like a new set of chassis and new motors) may take years thanks to design-production lead times and the fact that they are in the middle of a new set of designnn intros. They just introduced the "new" A4 and are about to introduce the new A8 (which looks like - you guessed it - the A6 and A4). Poor sales may speed that change (at least substaintial sheetmetal revisions).

Hey Audi, how about coming up with cars we (the sporting buyers) want to drive straight out of the box? If they dont need chips and suspension work, short shifters and body kits to feel like a sports vehicle, you will have less hassle with customers making such "modifications".

Now, if AoA would just reinvent itself...
