Bird poop causing dents, Part II
This past spring I made a post about finding a bird poop on my hood. After I washed it off a couple days later, I noticed a nice big dent and scratched up paint underneath the mess. It is right by the base of the windshield, and looks bad. Well, the same thing happened again this week. Right on the passenger front fender. The dent is not as deep, but it falls right on the crease, and the paint was scratched up even worse this time.
I work in New Haven, CT, right on LI Sound. It was definitely a seagull, since they are everywhere here. I have noticed that they fly over the parking lot with a shellfish in their beak, get about 40 feet above the pavement, and drop it to break the shell. Then they swoop down and eat it. So these foul (no pun intended) creatures are full of rocks and shells, and like to eliminate right above my car.
Work will not take responsibility.
I was just going to suck it up for the first offense, but now I have 2 welts in the car, and probably will be getting another one. I have collision and comprehensive insurance, would this be something that would be covered?
My other (insane) idea is to get to work a little early a few times, with my pellet rifle. Open the sunroof, sit in the back seat, and pick off a few seagulls, then scatter their bodies around my car, as a warning to others.
Any ideas?

LMFAO! I understand your pain, but the notion that bird poop causing dents is hilarous
to me.
Ever had a goose **** on you car? One bird covered about a third of my hood and is one of the most disgusting messes I've had to clean up.
As far as the seagulls go, I'm worder if the military surplus has those old radar-seeking gattling guns they used on ships for sale. Nothing screams "get the fvck away" like an fully automated gun, lol.

I don't know that you could kill a seagull with a pellet gun, I had a raven nesting in
my back yard that I must have shot a least twenty times with a pellet gun. I think it eventually died of lead poisoning. Comprehesive with cover it but depending on your deductable, you might be ahead to just pay for the repairs.

But the damage is directly under the poop
The first time I wasn't sure if it was poop or fish guts because it was just a gross mess. But this time, it was clearly a big white bird poo. Each time, I wipe it off, and there is the dent.
Pictures of the damage will be posted within the hour. Stay tuned.
