Default Bling bling, my wheels are blanging. You fellas can't floss like me!

OMG, this isn't good. I bought another A4 off my buddy that had a set of BBS RCs. The wheels were in great shape, but the finish on them had oxidized after a powercoat job. So, he paid to have the BBS RCs polished and clearcoated. I got them back yesterday. They are like........ BAM! Shiny. Thing is...... I live on the weekdays in East LA. I know the first time I drive out, I'm going to get jacked. Or when I'm on call and parked at County overnight, I'll come out in the morning and find the car on blocks. The wheels stand out too much to be compatible with this neighborhood.

Default Looks nice...invest in wheel locks, or have them gunmetal'd?

Id assume you have access to a physician lot at county or such?

Cheers,
Sameer

Default Physician lot..... LOL!

I'm a third year med student..... we park with the physicians in this parking structure..... I guess it's alright.... but overnight there isn't much security. Oh well.... we will see what happens. What wheel locks would you recommend? I may also just sell these wheels and get something less flashy.

Default Frankly, selling em is a better idea if your concerned...

You could get a set of 16s if you don't care about bling and pocket the difference. Myself, id keep the wheels and put locks on em.

i have a set of OZ SLs. They came with wheel locks that i don't use. I think ive heard people using RAD locks. Just remember to keep the key somewhere with you, not accesible easily in the car.

BTW my brother just finished up med school at Rush U and starts residency at Northwestern (both my parents are docs to boot).

What field are you lookin to go into? Good luck with it, med school is definitely some sick/nasty stuff!

I think the funniest thing my brother ever said to me was when he started med school. He told me that if i ever wanted to come with him to the cadaver lab, i could cut and observe. I looked at him and told him that the day i ever ask him if i can cut some dead people up with a penknife is...not good

BTW have your Okole seat covers faded at all? Originally i wanted them for my Miata, but many Miata owners complained about them fadin in the sun...

Cheers,
Sameer

Default I cut up closer to 40 bodies during my fist two years of med school.

Research and stuff. Not the most pleasant thing in the world, but you get used to it quickly. Although after two years in ortho research, I realized ortho may not be for me. At this point, I have no idea what I want to be. I'm just cruising until something hits me.

The Wet Okoles still look great. Fade is very minimal. I'd border on saying there is no fade, but remember that mine are all black. I've heard of the colored inserts fading. The UV light bleaches the seats, so Wet Okole sells a protectant that protects the color. A lot of people don't use it, and then they lose a lot of color.
