Boost problems....

Default Boost problems....

I was driving to VT and first noticed on the way that if i rolled in to the throttle the turbo wouldn't boost more than 5psi...if i backed off and stabbed it every once in a while it would boost normal...wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem....APR software? stuck BPV? stuck Wastegate?...any help is greatly appreciated.

Default you are in limp mode...

it might be your MAF...but that's only one of the things that cause it to go into limp mode.

is the CEL on?

i tried the "-" off for a half an hour trick..didn't help..not sure...it boosts correct sometimes..

i just had a CP replaced...not sure if that would have anything to do with it...prob not...5th time

Default all i know is...when it does boost...it pulls hard...but that could be because...

i haven't driven her in a while...a school and all...its all relative i guess.

i've been having a similar problem...im replacing the N75 valve cuz thats wats goin..

Default VAG com.

I had a similar problems (but not nearly as severe), did a TBA and swapped the spark plugs and all was back to normal.

Do some logs, pull some codes...no sense in making wild guesses.

Limp mode is worse than what you are describing since it seems you can hit full boost at times.

Default Last time that happened to me, my intercooler hose was loose.

For some reason, the clamp was loose and the intercooler pipe was hanging. You might want to check around for hoses first before you start investing in alot of stuff that may not solve the problem.
