Default that's very odd...most likely a fuse.

or it could be the ignition switch, or the lightswitch. fuse is a good place to start, the others are a dealer job most likely.

Default Happened to me last month....

I got in and turned on the lights....nothing. High's worked but not the low beam. Just put new lights in, in the beginning of the summer. Audi Assured, so I took it over, they said both bulbs and the swithch was bad. Replaced under AA. I think it is weird that 3 thing break all at once.
Still I had to pay the deductable.
Deductable....What a scam.

Just my .02

I didn't try....Just took it back to the dealer. It feels like the whole headlamp arm was replaced. I don't know the details on installing one yourself.

Default sounds like the infamous combination switch has gone bad

its a common problem on the A4's. Do your corner lights work without the low beams? And ur highs only work when you keep the stalk pulled back?

yeah, sounds like the switch. I had it replaced at $380 a couple months ago. You need to buy the combination switch/light stalk. Its like $130. But its the labor that kills you.

good luck

Also, I heard spraying WD40 in there temporarily helps the situation
