BOV symptoms

The very fact that you're running a hybrid means you're a hypocrite!
A hybrid is indeed a compromise. It's designed to reroute just enough intake air back into the system to prevent the car from running too rich and causing issues. The simple fact is, if you're venting ANY metered air you're going to run rich. All you're doing with the hybrid valve is pushing the limits so you don't cause severe drivability problems...all for the sake of a little noisemaker under the hood.
If you truly believed a BOV wouldn't cause an issue, then yank the hybrid valve, and put a BOV that vents 100% to the atmosphere and get back to us on what you think.

Well the vacuum lines serves as an actuator for the valve...
if the valve doesn't open when you lift throttle, pressure will build in the intake system. When pressure builds, there are four ways for it to release.
1. Back through the turbo compressor wheel...a concept known as "stalling the turbo". This won't actually stop the compressor wheel, but it will significantly slow it, causing spool up delays when you shift to the next gear.
2. Through the throttle body plate. Our throttle bodies are equipped with a tiny motor, which is controlled by the ECU for idle functions. That motor is very delicate and the throttle body is pretty expensive. Not sure how likely this scenario is, but it is a possible scenario.
3. The pressure build up will force the BOV open, provided the spring isn't too strong.
4. A hose blows. Lean and rich conditons will result, depending on whether you're in boost or not. The severity is directly proportional to the severity of the leak.

Hypocrite
n : a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he does not hold
Not sure if that description fits but hey I've been called worse buddy - lol.
OP never stated that he wasn't using a hybrid - which is the ONLY BOV that should be used on a metered car.
We don't have to agree and call each other names but it is my car and my money and I don't have to report anything back to you.
Okidoki.
BTW, I thought this forum was dead and you were checking out?

a full bov will make our cars run rich
case closed with emphasis on "full".
As it stands OP hasn't mentioned the type of BOV he is using and I am just assuming that anyone that looks before leaping would not use anything other than a hybrid on our cars..

Re: 2nd that!
sorry guys i know about the side effects of bov on audi but ive got one and when it release it the bov sputters not typical blow whooooss sound could it be that the vaccum line running from the intake maifold to the bov is loose
