Default Brakes and Rotors

Hey all, my pads are down to like 2mm and the stealership says I have to replace the rotors as well. Can i just do the pads? Also, what pads and or rotors would ya'll recomend for a cheap upgrade? I was looking at the ECS Tuning drilled/slotteds.....

Thanks

Default the rotors are made to wear with the pads on these cars...

when it's time to change the pads, the rotors also need to be swapped.

ecs is a good alternative, also check with pure motorsports.

Default ECS slotted with Mintex pads. I have them on my GTI...

While you're at it, get 12.3" (A8) rotors for the front. Good bang for the buck upgrade.

Default On all rotors? My dealer did two sets of rear pads on same rotors...

...I am also planning on doing just a rear pad replacement on my APR Level II slotted rotors before getting new rotors back there. They're not eaten away or have build up on 'em, so I figure they're good for another set of rear pads...

Default well...i'm not sure about the rears, but that's what they told me for the fronts.

people have gone with just swapping the pads and i havn't heard of any oem rotors cracking or falling apart (unlike some aftermarket rotors).

if your total bill goes above $500 i'd opt for the A8 kit. i got it and love it.
