Brief actuation noise in dash?? Help! (Long)
Ok I check the archive and couldn't find any relevant posts. I have a one month old A4 Quatro w/ 2.8 engine. There are roughly 1200 miles on the car. When running after a cold start I usually hear a noise in the dash after roughly 5 minutes. It sounds as if something is clicking/actuating from around the middle section. It is only momentary and does not happen from that point on. A better description of the noise is that it is almost like the noise of inserting a tape into the radio. My mother's A4 (also new, but with way less miles) does not do this.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal? Is it something to do with the vent system? I really don't want to have the dealer messing with the dash.
Thanks!
Mike U. (99.5 2.8QMS Cactus Green Mica)

Mike...
I have heard this on my car on one occasion and have not heard it since. Somewhere, either here or on a webpage, I read something about this and it is not a problem. I will try to search for it and I will email you or post back here if I find it unless someone else answers it sooner.
parkerpt
99.5 1.8T qms
