I am looking at buying a 2001 A4 1.8T with 68,000 miles. I don't really know anything about them. I am getting a really good deal on it, but would like alittle info. Anything I should know before I buy it?? I thought this might be the right place to ask. Thanks!!!

Do yourself a favor and have someone who knows the mark look over the car(PPI- pre purchase inspection). It will pay dividends down the line. If it has not been serviced very well(ie frequent oil changes, timing belt replacement, etc), the car could really burn you with repair bills down the line. Realize that Audis generally need a little more service then your standard car. This is not to say that the car is unreliable, but they are needy.

Then ask questions about maintenance items like the TB. Then check for suspension noises, oil and coolant leaks, strange engine noises, ect. Then you'll know whether it's a good deal or not.
