Buyers in Dallas-Ft.Worth (or Texas) - Opinions Requested
I am currently in the market for an Audi A4 1.8T and live in the D/FW area. Anybody have any experiences with the two dealers here (Central & Park Place)?
I am looking to order a 2001 with the options I want (Auto, Conv. Sport, Xenon).
What $$ (or %) over invoice is the current D/FW (Texas) market demanding?
I would consider going to Austin/Houston/San Antonio if I can get a better deal.
Any comments/advice would be appreciated.

Re: Houston
Momentum Audi is the place to go in Houston. Momentum is the premiere place to purchase or lease a new vehicle. Check out their website www.momentumaudi.com . They give out quotes over the net and all the answers you need. They even have a test track so you can see how it turns and moves around. Ask for Stephanie. Also try Don Mcgill Audi if you have time, but I think you'll find that Momentum has the better deals.

Re: Call ParkPlace and ask for Oscar. He's a board regular.
Actually, I already spoke with Ismail @ Park Place and he has quoted me $1900+ over invoice. This sounds way too much to me based on what I've seen discussed in these threads. That's why I am looking for alternatives.

Parkplace vs. Central VW Audi...
I bought my 2000 1.8TMS in January from Parkplace. I first went to Central VW/Audi. I had been to Central many times before and they were less willing to negotiate, and always seemed to be to busy to help. I went to Parkplace Porsche/Audi, and worked with Joe. I got mine for $1400 over invoice. When I walked in, he basically said he'd give me the lowest price he could, and shortcut all of the negotiation process. I was unsure if they were giving a straightforward approach, or if this was a sales tactic to keep any negotiations out. But, he would not budge on this price, and it seemed to be within the ballpark of others I had seen on Audiworld. Parkplace is also a little more what you would expect from a luxury car dealer (more cordial, less 'insult your intelligence sales tactics', etc.) Service seems better at Central though.
