Default Steps: 1. Go to car dealer; 2. Select car; 3. Neg car price; 3. Get screwed with bad lease
4. Go home with shinny new car anyway.

Default Pull the glove box, remove the mounting screws/bolts, remove electrical connectors
Remove unit. It's something easy like that, it's just a pain pulling the glove box.

Just curious, that's the first time I've seen that tech article, was wondering if it was worth trying on the B5.
