Default A/C was working, quit for a few mintues started and quit again...

Car is a '97 A4 2.8q with ~126kmiles

Anyone have any ideas? I've seen references to a green plug below the passenger side headlight, I can't find that anywhere.

when I look at the the on-board diagnostic codes I get...
1c shows: "0"
a/c on
52c shows: 0
53c shows: 111
a/c off
52c shows: 13
53c shows: 010

My a/c was always blowing very cold and stong. The engine has the normal surge from the compressor when I turn the a/c on and off again. Anybody have any ideas?

thanks!!
Mark

Could it be as simple as the climate control reaching the max temp?

I thought that was a possiblity. So I got up early this morning (when is was only 78 out) and tried it again. no cool/cold air. Yesterday there was ice cold air blowing, stopped for a few minuted, started again, then stopped.
now only warm...
