Can the electrical system in the A4 Avant be adapted for trailer lights?

Can the electrical system in the A4 Avant be adapted for trailer lights?
I'd like to be able to tow w/ my '04 wagon...nothing too heavy, just an ATV or small tractor.
Unfortunately the local U-haul refuses to make the connections necessary to add directional signals and brake light hook ups. They cite concern w/ adversely impacting the vehicles' electronics.
Audi of Nashua, the vendor of the vehicle was of no assistance in this matter.
Does anyone know of a tow package installer in New England that knows how to handle the electrical issues that scare off the usual vendors? Is towing w/ my Audi completely unrealistic?
Thanks!

Re: yep you can, you can get a dalan tow hitch and can tow up to xxxxlbs i think? check your manual
I understand that there are hitches available. I was told that the major impediment is tapping into the electrical system...that noone I asked was willing to do that. I contacted an installer of Dalan hitches who stopped installing them (Massachusetts). They refered me to other hitch installers who refused to take on the electrical system.
Thanks for the reply. I will look at my manual.

Re: it's realistic. I don't remember the details so try doing some searching. cost a few $$$$
I have contacted many hitch installers. After trying my Audi dealer w/o success, I'd figure I'd try this forum as a last resort.
If this fails, I'll be forced to buy another vehicle; an extreme measure, but I need to be able to tow!

It can be done.
I believe it was Dalan that had the electrical harness to integrate with the Audi that you will need. It was about $80 for the harness & $250 for the Hitch. If you need more info just ask. I did the research on it a few months ago so I'm sure I could find all the info again if I need too. I just decided to hold off on it for now. There are quite a few people who tow with their Audi and it's done in Europe all the time.

Yes, please send me info on where I can contract a dealer who is familiar w/ the (trailer) electric hookup involved in an Audi.

hitch-web.com They have the stuff, you'll have to find a local company to do the install. I did find a better harness than the one they have at hitch-web but I can't find it at the moment.
