Default Supersprint is "Cat back"

that's the term anyway, but it doesn't include a downpipe.

SPP sells a DP for tiptronics, but I don't know what diameter it is.

A cat back system is what most vendors are pushing. Go visit your favorite A4 aftermarket parts website and price the systems. I did some quick price comparisons on catbacks in anticipation of the A4 being in the garage soon. From $490 for a generic Borla setup to $900 for a stainless steel catback from APR.

Why stop at the Cat when you can go to the Downpipe with Borla and Neuspeed G2(Oct)!

Default Well...catback in our cars would include a DP...since the Downpipe connects to the cat ;-)

For tiptonic transmissions.....go with either the Neuspeed G2 or the Borla (yes...some sound not so good...but there are good sounding ones as well)...or for more $$$, you can get either the Milltek or Supersprint and guy an SPP/Picboy DP

How does it sound? I would like something that would sound close to stock.

Default SPP 1.8T Tip DP's are 2.5" IIRC. Can bolt up to any other exhaust with

adaptor flanges that any exhaust shop can do. It's not going to sound as quiet as exhaust because it's more free flowing and will be throatier.
