Can I use the tow hooks on my a4 to tow the car a very short distance or are they just for securing.

Default Wait, did you say stuck in the snow???

have you ever driven one of these things in snow? Whith snow tires? In the 10 or so years of driving quattro cars in snow, I have gotten stuck 4 times, only once did I require a tow to get out (I got high centered on a 3 foot deep drift, which I was attempting to reverse through AFTER having gone through it once forwards.. Had I not missed my original tracks, I would have been fine..) The other times I was high centered, but was able to dig out..

Default Oh, okay. You have to understand...there are some real tools out there.

My last trip to VA I encountered some good ole boys trying to tow a pick up truck home with another pick up truck. No problem, except they were using a piece of rope to do it...on the open highway. It was only a matter of time before the guy being towed was going to rear end the truck that was towing him.

I just wanted to make sure you had not come up with some brilliant plan to avoid paying for a tow truck. :-)
