I have a 97 A4 Quattro 5speed, and a set of S4 Springs and exhaust, almost brand new. I would really like to integrate them, but I'm concerned about potential backpressure issues with the exhaust, going from a normally aspirated engine in to a designed-for-turbo exhaust. Also I don't want to spend the 500-1000 my shop is talking about to swap out the suspension if there will be problems. Please help! I'm a new A4 owner, so I'm not sure what the car can handle.

The springs on the S4 are desighned to work with the Extra weight (two turbos , V6) they Might work on the 2.8. Having them on the 1.8 will make the car feel less conected, Understeer. But I dont know about fitting the actual springs ( i dont know if the s4 suspention uses the same lenght/weight Springs. Due to its different front control arms.)

I dont think the exhuast will work either.

Your better off going with a set of euro springs.
And as for the exhaust they are many types, that are made for the A4 turbo.
