A year ago I needed a clutch badly... now I need a clutch very badly. My stock clutch has 165,000 on it and is about to go. Haha today on my 2 hour road trip of hell through torrential downpour and ****ty roads to Bethlahem PA I realized my clutch is like half an inch of bite. Not very pleasant to drive.

My Question of the night is...

Can a clutch or flywheel on its way out promote clunking while on and off the throttle? Or does that sound like tranny mounts?

For a while I was thinking it had to be tranny mounts or engine mounts but now im not so sure... Literally everytime any amount of throttle is applied the car almost has a holding back feel to it then clunks and accelerates. It is even worse off the throttle sometimes with a few clunks... that is the only way I can describe it. I've read a lot of posts on similar experiences through the last few months but haven't heard anything conclusive, so I know im not the only one experiencing this. oh yea have APR snub already also and the South Bend clutch is still in the trunk waiting for a flywheel before install.
