well, its not my car yet but my friends s4 avant that i was going to take off his lease was just stolen today from st vincents in lower manhattan, parked right in front of the hospital. i was suppose to take the car at the end of the year when the lease was done. Now i dunno if it is still worth it. does this automatically mean his title is no longer going to be clear? all i know so far is that the headlights are gone, gonna go see the car tomorrow. this sucks big time, car feels like it's mine, i guess i gotta stick it out with the a4 for a while longer. =[

btw, we can see the car tomorrow because it was just recovered in newark.

poor S4 avant....

it shoudl still be all good, if insurance rebuilds it, and it's still with the orig owner, it shouldn't be a theft recovery title.. only if it's sold now as a stripped car does it get theft recovery...

it'd be like if you had an accident... sell the wrecked car, and it's cr@p... rebuild it and sell it and no one ever has to know...

but it still sucks, that car was going to be perfect for me. a 6 spd low mileage avant is probably going to be real hard to find.
