Carbonio Intake System
Are these Carbonio intakes one of the few that actually give some type of performance gain? From what I have read, most intakes don't do too much....however I still want to try one, and get the cool pshh sound without putting a blow-off valve on the 1.8T....thoughts?

I think Carbonio is one of the better intake systems for our cars, due to using a sealed airbox.

It had a nice heat shield and put the filter low enough in the bay so that it would stay cold. Even after romping on the car the filter would be cool to the touch.

I think you will regret touching the intake. My car has HKS and I do not like it, but do not have
stock airbox to swap back in. I am not sure the Carbonio will even give you the noise you are seeking (as it is still a closed box, as opposed to open). If only we could swap airbox/intake setups. You'd have your noise and I would be rid of the noise!

i really liked the 2 custom setups i have had/have...the dv you have will also effect the noise
i recently switched to a 710n from a forge 007 and it has greatly reduced the pshhh sound.
