catch cans
anyone using a catch can on your a4? Been seeing them advertised more and was wanting to see what you guys were doing or if they are even needed. The B5 turbos have had sludge issues, although not so common with synthetic oil.

Rob - I would recommend one if you are getting blow thru or plan to run a great deal of boost or flow. I saves a big mess and youcan plumb it back to engine or just empty with oil changes. I havent really seen them used except on modified vehicles as a good setup takes some time and effort, anything that cathes the oil and breaths to atmosphere will work. I run one full of lage machine shavings and vent thru a small K&N filter. I have to wash the filter every 500 miles. If you dont have an oil mess skip it.
