Changed Viscous Fan/Clutch this morning.. noticed grease on inside of passenger wheel.. CRAP!
Never ends.. About 30K ago the driver side axle boot tore but i didn't notice till it was clicking like crazy so I replaced the whole thing. I had a local shop do it. Didn't have the time then and needed to take care of it. Got time on the weekends now. How hard is it to change out the whole axle compared to just the boot? Is it really necessary to remove the pinch bolt? Changing the boot looks like a big mess. Saw the write up in the FAQ. Any words of wisdom from those that have done it?
