Check Engine Light
This is the 2nd time it happened and it appears to not be a major problem at all. But I was wondering if anyone else experenced this and what the cause is.
The 2 times I got it was when I started the car the day after I washed it. To wash my car, I usually push the car out of the garage and after the wash, I'll start the car and drive it back in the garage (a trip that takes no more than 10 sec).
Could this quick start and stop be the cause?

Re: Check Engine Light
When you start the car the air/fuel mixture is very rich. If you do not run the car for atleast 5 minutes after starting the mixture will have stayed in the system and will be too rich for your next start - causing an emissions warning.
My suggestion, do what I do: push it out, wash, and leave out or push back in, if you can.
JAN
98.5 1.8T QMS
