Default Chip question...
TAP is pissing me off. Can't tell me which software I have (it was ordered and sent through a currently out of business local tuner. Anyone know how TAP chipped in '04? In other words, do I need another ECU to put an AWE chip in, or can the TAP chip be removed? I'm in Boston, so I thought I might just pop down to AWE in Willow Grove see some relatives. I'm in Boston until Sunday, so I can't pop the cover and check it out myself. Any help would be appreciated.

Default tap is a solder in chip. Just remove it and have the AWE soldered in...
or if you have your stock chip..put it back and flash it.

Default I'm half tempted to try and find another stock ECU (ATW)
And have a little fun comparing them.
