It seems that not too long after I installed my APR chip in my 1.8 that about half the time when I pull up to a stop sign or light the idle will drop from 890 where it normally is down to 500. If I lightly tap the gas pedal it will jump back to 890 and stay there just fine. At my 10K service I had them check it and they said they could not re-create it. Well, as soon as I pulled away and stopped in the lot it dropped down.
My concern is that when I return to the Dealer to have them look at it again, they will reprogram the chip trying to correct the problem. Anyone seen this idle problem???

i had the same idle problem, but my car isn't chipped. i left the reading lights on and the battery died. i jumped the battery, but the car went wacko after that. it idled really low, and sometimes shut off by itself. took it to dealer and said they "fixed the electric circuits" that caused it. don't know if that helps any, but good luck.

I never lost the battery and have not had any other problems. If I have the Air Conditioner on it will stall when the idle drops down.

I need to know if I should be concerned about the ECU causing the problem or not.
