Is chrome trim around the windows on a Silver A4 1.8T........
Is chrome trim around the windows on a Silver A4 1.8T (like the 2.8) available for dealer installation? Obviously I can ask my dealer but I'd like to know first if anyone has gone through this operation before me. After a QUALITY window tint job I think that the chrome would definately enhance the car's looks (especially at night)
Can anyone Help? I'd appreciate some suggestions.

It'll cost you $800+...
Between parts and labor (those aren't " just trim pieces", their backings are riveted down) it would cost you $800 to $1000 according to a local dealer here in Chicago. Many people ask about this, which I don't understand (since I'm not a fan of chrome), but it doesn't seem cost-effective. Anything can be done to an A4, it just costs money.
Cameron

Are they rivits? ...
I don't know, haven't taken my A4 apart to see, but my old 5000 used a plastic part with a center punch down cylinder that spread the rear of the part much like a moly (these parts must have a name, I just don't know what it is). They do look a lot like a rivit though.
