One korean computer place said the board was most likely no good. (after soda or something or other that was sticky was all over the board)
should i check each piece for continuity? get a new ecu and swap the modified chip over? Because i know damn well im not getting any help from you know where

Who spilled the soda on it?? Getting a new ECU is best, if it's indeed
soda that was spilled... I have never seen a keyboard recover from it... (The PCB doesn't like carbonated drinks.)

you do know that "flux" is brown and sticky and a normal part of soldering?
basically if vag-com can communicate with the ecu, do throttle body adapts, take recodes...etc. i doubt its the ecu.

Wait a second Rosati....let me get this straight....
you got your ECU back and there's soda on it and your car won't start, and the tuner who chipped it won't do anything about it to help you out????!!!!!
F-that-S!! I'd be in my car (well another car that runs) and on my way up there if I were you!
