climate control issues..

Theres a clicking noise coming from a relay in the 3rd row of relays to the left (I dont know the exact number) and clicking coming from the climate control both at the same time. The noise lasts about 3-5 seconds, then the A/C, rear defrost, and exterior temp display will work, but no heat. About 10-15 minutes later the noise will occure again, this time no A/C, no rear defrost, no exterior temp display, and still no heat. This process goes back and fourth aslong as the cars running.. The exterior temp display was reading crazy temps like -60 degrees.. So I replaced that thinking this might solve the climate control problem but no luck, just sloved the ext temp problem.. Ive had this problem for a year now and have searched and searched different posts and FAQs but no luck. Hopefully someone know what im talking about.. Thanks

Have you VagCom scanned the car ?

That's where I'd start.

Maybe need to replace the relay?

Or is something else causing it..

I don't know what your local dealer would charge... maybe free, probably lots...

but scanning the car can possibly pinpoint the problem much faster. It's all a bit of a gamble; wish I could be of more help. It's always possible someone reading this has a VagCom (I have one for instance) and could scan it for you. Where are you ?
