i had an appointment this morning to get my new suspension installed and an oil change. over the phone the shop said it would be no problem, they could do susp. + alignment on a quattro and they had experience with a4s.

fedex lost my springs, so i ended up just going in for the oil. after about 10 minutes, the guy comes back into the lobby to ask me what model car it was! glad i found out they're worthless before i trusted them with suspension.

now i need a place in kansas city that can install shocks + springs for a reasonable price. every place i've called has quoted 900+.

its not a hard install. but if you pay for it, i think 300 or so would be reasonable

i paid around $225 for my suspension install. i definitely wouldn't pay over $300. as for oil, you can change it yourself very easily.

but i live in a downtown apartment with no garage. and i don't know anyone here (with a garage) well enough to borrow it for a whole day.

know how you feel
i have done many s4 suspensions and all kinds of audis in the last 8 years at the dealer
if you supply the parts i can do the installation for $600.00

aligment has to be done with a special tool to get the raise camber and toe when you lower the car

just adjusting the toe will wear your tires in the inside
