Default Coilovers

How come on all sights H&R coilovers are like $1900, but on AWE Tuning they are $1300? How did everyone come to their suspension conclusions? I was thinking coils but now I am leaning towards H&R and Bilsteins for shocks and springs.

Default I tried everything!

You think I'm kidding? I have an H&R coilover suspension on my car now. That's the 3rd aftermarket suspension I've put on my car. I started with a KW V2 suspension. Very good in it's own right, however too stiff for my tastes. I also found the rebound adjustability to be a pain in the ***. After two tries, I wasn't completely happy with either setting. Rather than attempt a third (each attempt at adjusting the rebound involves full disassembly of the suspension), I moved on to something else. That something else was a Bilstein and Eibach suspension. Over time I found myself dissatisfied with the ride quality. It seemed very apparent to me that the Bilsteins were quite stiff and the Eibachs were too low and soft for my tastes. Third time was a charm (H&R coils). I found that to be exactly the balance of performance and comfort I was looking for.

Trial and error it's certainly and expensive way to evaluate suspensions, and it certainly wasn't what I had in mind when I first started upgrading the suspension, however, in retrospect, it might be the only way to really evaluate a suspension set up for YOUR driving needs. I would certainly suggest that you get some test drives of some cars locally, but a 20 minute test drive won't tell you what you're going to need to know to make an informed decision.
