Combi Valve Replacement Procedure
Sorry if this is already out there somewhere. I've been reading the posts on combi valve failures.
My car has the classic symptoms. Can anyone out there share their experience as to what the correct procedure for replacing the combi valve is?

wow..imagine that! i have a ATW!
and ive replaced the combi valve!
its a pita.
-remove engine cover
-loosen hard pipe screws off valve cover
-unscrew two bolts from combi valve to hard pipe
-unscrew two bolts from combi valve to head
-drop hardware and metal gaskets down into engine bay
-swear
-cut vac line to combi valve
-remove valve from cat side
-install new vac line to new valve
-install new valve
-drop metal gasket down engine bay
-swear
-install new gasket and combi valve to block
-install new gasket and bolts to hard pipe
(do not do these steps)
-strip combi valve bolts
-swear
-reinstall old valve
-order heli-coil kit from mcmaster
-rework new valve
-remove old valve
(continue)
-tighten hard pipe screw to valve cover
-use barbed union to connect vac lines
-reinstall engine cover
its a pita.
