I was just watching "Auto Motor und Sport" on Deutche Welle just now. They had a comparison between the new 2.0 A4, the Mercedes C180, and the Ford Modeo(sp?). Anyway, the A4 cleaned house. They're only real gripe about the thing was the high fuel consumption. They rated a few cetegories.

1. Handling
Well, can we all guess who won here? The Ford came in 2nd, and the Mercedes was sluggish and unresponsive.

2. Power
The Ford had the most power, but it had to rev up really high and get noisy to get it. The Audi had lots of torque at low RPM giving a strong yet quiet ride. The Mercedes was weak. They declared the A4 the winner here.

3. Interior
While they were thankful that Ford seems to have reclaimed some taste in it's design, it still came in last. The Audi interior was very functional and pleasing. The Mercedes won this category with the most refined and intuitive interior.

Based on it's score, the A4 was declared Winner, with the ford second and the C180 Mercedes dead last.
