My HU (Concert) in my 99.5 1.8TQMS (w/Bose system) started acting up this morning. The display has become spotty. (I think that's the best way to describe it) It sounds fine, though. Anyway, there are a few concerts for sale on ebay...does anyone know if the HU itself has to be Bose? Or, if I have a Bose system will any Concert HU pick it up? Thanks in advance!

home from work. I always turn my stereo off when i get out of my car and when i turned it on it went away...I was using my VAG-COM the other night so I thought maybe that did it...but...I'm curious now to see if someone can pin point it!

I replaced the battery and it did the same thing with the spotty display. The next day, everything was back to normal.

Mine did the same thing the other night, I shut the car off and started again and it has been fine since. The only thing I can think of was earlier that day I had turned the car off and then turned the stereo back on without turning the car over (which I always did with the same HU in my TT) without a problem. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, I'm gonna leave it alone and keep y fingers crossed!

That's exactly what happened to me!!!! Good to know. Hopefully, that's why I had the problem.
