Default Construction glue on hands BT...

Did some volunteer framing for a non-profit today. Glued and nailed plywood decking. The glue is just plain nasty. It will not come off. I tried orange hand cleaner, then paint thinner, then 3M adhesive remover, then carburetor cleaner. I can scrape some off but skin is coming with it. Now I have that nasty carb cleaner buzz up to my elbows.

I have a lunch meeting tomorrow and I look like I just crawled out from under the car and it seems permanent.

Any ideas?

Default Not sure if it's a similar adhesive, but I had lots of super glue on my hands once...

I removed it by weakening it with some Goo Gone and soaking it for a long time in nail polish remover (acetone, your paint thinner was probably the same thing.) Just keep working at it.

It'll wear off in time as your skin is replaced.

Default Was it PL400 ? Yellow tube with red and black writing ? It takes about three days to come off....

Now your hands look really dirty. The longer you wait the the oils secreted by your skin will help break it down....just give it a good scrub in the morning with a sponge and pumice-based hand cleaner.

That's what you get for working for free.....

Good luck.

Default That's the only construction adhesive worth using.... Polyurethane FTW....

or FTL in your case.
