Cost to rebuild manual 5-sp transmission?

Taking my car in tomorrow for a checkup on a number of humming noises coming from the transmission or differential. To preparem myself for the worst case scenario, I wanna know the cost to rebuild the transmission if I need to.

i areally do not know, but I think a dealer would charge 2K+

Cheaper to get a used tranny.

IIRC, rebuilding yours would be about $1200.

There's one on E bay for $695 right now (out of a 96)
