Default couple quick questions

1. i am thinking to purchase a VAG-COM cable off ebay $45 and download the free VAG software off the website. Has anyone tried this and it worked fine? Do i have to purchase the entire set off the VAG-COM (including CD and cable) ?

2. trying to decide a tire now i have three to choose and cant decide need more opinions (i've done the research however, the reviews seem to very extreme opinions)

1. Nitto NT 555 (225/40/18), i heard it's really good on dry condition, but slipper on wet. Wana know how bad it is on the wet
2. Falken ST 115, generally the reviews i saw was farely positive does it give the same performance on dry ?
3. Falken 451, this i heard various opinions about this tire.

I am currently running Dunlop FM901, and i think it's farely good on dry and wet condition

just want to hear more opinions before i order the tires.
any opinions will be appreicated
