Cruise Control Problems

Cruise control operation was erratic. Spraying the stalk internals with contact cleaner would cause it to work. Finally stopped working with cleaning. Conclusion, problem with stalk and contacts now completely shot

Replaced stalk with new stalk and now won't work at all.

Any Ideas???
