Default Cup Holder Jammed!

Has anyone replaced their dashboard cupholder. Mine jammed the other day and I could not find any easy way to replace this. I tried searching TT installs but nothing gives description on how to replace this piece.

Default Take off the plastic cover that goes over the cupholder and emergency lights button.....

Then the cupholder should just pull right out. You might have to pull hard to get it out. That's where I put my TT/BG.

Tried taking cover and pulling but it feels like I'm gonna snap it off.

it pops out. and you probably will break a tab or 2. I did. A little epoxy fix them.

Default That's b/c there are little metal pieces inside that have a small amount of glue to hold the cover..

to the instrument panel. It's okay to pull it off, but you will need to add a touch of super glue or whatever to the metal pieces to get it to stick back on.

Default Now I got the cup holder out but it is off the track!

does not push all the way in and will not pop out on its own. Is there a way to take the whole assembly out.

Default Did you get it out and it is not sliding on its track, or is it still in the dash and won't cme out?

The entire unit should come out as one piece. I think the way I did it was to pop it into the outward position and then pull the whole unit out like that. If your problem is the track is off, then just play with it until you can get it back on track. There is no quick fix to getting it back on track.
